Certain Amino Acids have been added to the New Era LPS Coral Pellet to elicit a stronger feeding response from corals, stimulating polyps into feeding mode and getting the feeding tentacles to emerge so that the coral can take the food in the first place. Additionally, the calcium content of the New Era LPS Coral Pellet is higher than the marine pellet due to the addition of shrimp shell powder. It is not clear whether corals can uptake extra calcium gastronomically but a little calcium bump in the food couldn’t hurt. The New Era Aquaculture LPS Coral Pellet has only experienced a soft release with certain UK dealers and Aqua Digital in Canada receiving one of the initial batches of the new food.
